What's going on in
4th grade?
Lots of exciting happenings in Ms. Vincent's 4th Grade Class!
Together with 2nd, 3rd, and SPED, we welcomed Professor Carl Purdy of Augusta University today when he came to help us learn about sound. We all had a wonderful time and learned a lot about how instruments modify sound, especially how the length of a pipe or string changes the pitch of a sound. Check out our pictures below! Professor Purdy shows off a medieval instrument called a Hurdy Gurdy. 2nd Grader Arden Harper tries out the Hurdy Gurdy. Professor Purdy shows off his skills with bagpipes --they were very loud! We learned about fret instruments like the guitar, and sang a good round of Old Macdonald had a Musical Farm!

We have a Religion test on Thursday! I am posting the study guide here, as well as the videos of the stories we're covering this week--Esther and Ruth. Happy studying!
Want some help studying for this week's Religion Quiz? I am posting the study guide and a cute video of the Bible story to help you out :)
We're moving on in Social Studies, but the students are really enjoying listening to our 50 Nifty State Song. It's excellent practice for learning the 50 states in the US! I've posted the YouTube video below.
